Here is a little more about my experience building businesses and brands:


In early 2003, I wrote the world’s first book on Ableton Live and later that year joined the Berlin-based manufacturer as employee #25.

When I left Ableton, they had well over 150 employees (now over 300). I was the first hire in the US and quickly founded Ableton’s US office in New York City and led marketing, product evangelism, and sales efforts in the US and beyond.

In my eight years there, Ableton Live went from a relatively unknown application used by a few techno and experimental musicians to a mainstream application bundled with millions of products worldwide. Here’s a list of awards Ableton earned in my time there.

In 2011, I joined iZotope in Cambridge, MA, as employee #23 and the VP of sales and marketing.

After five years, iZotope had more than quadrupled in size (revenue and employees), raised $12M in PE capital for a new hardware initiative, and had become one of the most recognized brands in audio software.

In 2013, iZotope received a Technical Emmy award for RX, now used as a standard tool in post production. RX was used in the creation of Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, and many other top movies, television shows, and other media.

Ozone, another iZotope award-winning product is one of the world’s most popular audio mastering applications. In 2016, I left iZotope, now 140+ employees strong and still growing, to start my own consulting and fractional CMO career.

Pro Sound Effects

Pro Sound Effects releases world class sounds for motion picture, video games, and agencies. They partner with Oscar Award winners and other unknown legends of film and game audio. I cannot discuss specific numbers due to confidentiality but here is what their owner and founder says about my work there:

In 2017, I worked with Accusonus, a leading innovator in audio technology to simplify their product offering, secure press coverage, develop artist content, influencer marketing, and create a marketing roadmap for their team. Their innovative source separation audio technology in Regroover and ERA audio repair tools are game changing tools for producers. They are continuing to grow and use my methods and also (unrelated to my work), recently licensed their audio repair technology to Adobe!

Stanton Moore Drum Academy

GRAMMY Award-winning musician and composer Stanton Moore is one of the most recognized funk and jazz drummers from the historic jazz capital: New Orleans. In 2017, I helped Stanton to relaunch his online education platform: Stanton Moore Drum Academy. We quickly doubled subscribers by using digital and content marketing tactics and also surveyed current and past subscribers to make better product decisions.
